Sahara is our little blonde bombshell. Born a milk chocolate color, she has matured into a lovely shade of gold with a darker overlay. She's a master manipulator with her gorgeous doe eyes; its impossible to be mad at her. She enjoys traveling to warmer climates where the snow does not get stuck in her fur, talking like a husky, and nesting in laundry baskets full of clothes. Sahara had her first litter in 2016 and has proven to be an outstanding mother.

Sunni is the most laid back and easy going dachshund you will ever meet. She is kind as the day is long and not much can ruffle this girl's feathers. Sunni is a finished AKC Champion; she came to us as a three year old from Stoneriver Dachshunds. The head on this girl is just gorgeous, and she's got a huge chest and plenty of bone. Sunni has been a wonderful producer for us, and we have kept her daughter Bikku as well as her son Kila. Sunni is now spayed and living will remain here as a much loved family member.

I'd been waiting and hoping for a smooth cream girl for a few years before Oola finally arrived. She was born on Star Wars Day, May the Fourth, so she was part of our Star Wars litter and is named after a character from the movie. For her mountain name, we chose the Kala'uun Mountain from Star Wars. Oola is a Sahara daughter, and her dad is Kila (he was also born here from the CH Sunni x CH Thomas pairing).

She wags her tail so hard, her whole body wiggles back and forth. She is named after Vesper Peak in Washington state.

**SOLD** Kazbek came to us all the way from Russia! We imported this unique looking guy as a puppy directly from Russia. At one year of age, Kazbek already has nine points towards his AKC championship, and both his majors completed. As of mid 2021, he has earned 14 of the needed 15 points to finish the Champion title. And in 2021, Kazbek is now a finished AKC Champion!
Kazbek is the most goofy, silly, and wild dachshund we have. He has never met a stranger, and even smiles when he's excited to see you. He's playful, quirky, and has a lot of toy drive. Kazbek is named after Mount Kazbek, of course.

Bikku is the sweetest little girl, and is often a visitor favorite. Both of her parents, Thomas and Sunni, are finished AKC Champions, and she has a stellar pedigree. Bikku is incredibly laid back and gentle. That combined with her lovely conformation make her a wonderful addition to our program. It will be interesting to see if she carries for cream, as both of her parents do. She is named after Bikku Bitti, the highest mountain in Libya.

Brava is our lovely Russian import from the well known Daks-Veg-As kennel that has produced many champions. She is a granddaughter of Mushi, one of my favorite dogs. Brava is our resident acrobatic clown- inquisitive, athletic, smart and silly. Personality plus, and markings that really make her stand out. Brava is one of our few dogs that does not have a mountain name, as she already had a name when I purchased her.

Our second Russian chocolate! Looker was imported as a puppy by Criscross Dachshunds, shown and finished by Cris. As part of her amazing program, he produced many champions. We were pleased to have the opportunity to add Looker to our pack in December 2019. He's a blend of American, Canadian and Russian lines. Looker will be used to keep our smooth program going forward and improving conformation. Available at stud to approved females.

As our dogs are named after mountains, his call name is after the Taska n'Zat mountain in Morocco. Taska is an absolute lovebug. Very laid back, he's a great dog to cuddle on the couch with. Fantastic with other dogs (big and small), ignores cats, minimal exposure to kids. Taska is my velcro dog, sticks right with me and never wants to wander off. He's got a happy-go-lucky temperament and will often tug at my pant leg to remind me he's there. As far as meeting new people, Taska is more on the reserved side. He does warm up pretty quickly though, especially if people just ignore him and let him decide when he's ready to say hello. PRA clear.

**SOLD** Irazu is our handsome boy from Golden Hills Dachshunds out in California. He's a super sweet guy, both with people he knows and new faces. Irazu tends to be more on the submissive side with other dogs, so no worries about him not getting along well. His coat is super soft, and he loves nothing more than being on your lap to get attention. More of a sensitive guy, I'd say he is a 'worrier' and is eager to please. Irazu is crate trained and housebroken. He has not been exposed to cats or kids. PRA clear.

Massey, aka Red 3, as she is our third generation red girl. Sunni is her grandma, and Bikku is her mom. Massey is one of three Kazbek daughters we've held back with the hopes to include in our breeding program in the future. Massey is named after the burial mound in Rhode Island where Massasoit's body is believed to be interred, thus combining her 'First Thanksgiving' themed litter name of Massasoit with our tradition of naming our breeding dogs after mountains.

**SOLD** Zugspitze is named after Germany's highest peak, which funny considering how tiny this guy is. Zuggie may be the smallest dog in our house, but he has a big personality! He's leash trained, crate trained, and very easy to live with. Zugs gets along great with other dogs, both big and small. He's always lived with other dachshunds, and more recently a Great Dane. He has not been exposed to cats or kids.
Zuggie has sired three litters thus far has produced some lovely puppies. He is quite generous with his brindle gene, it would seem. Zugs is PRA clear. He is available to a pet home, or to a small breeder where he would remain a house dog.

Toa is named after the famous volcano Krakatoa in Indonesia, which could be heard from 100 miles away when it erupted in 1883.

You don't see dilutes with stellar conformation like this very often. With mostly Criscross lines behind her, Obree comes from Kathryn Pearman's longtime effort to produce quality dilutes. Our male CH SoKisable Look at Me is Obree's great grandsire. As most of you know, we name our dogs after mountains. The breeder of this little girl was affectionately calling her the ghost puppy, due to her color. Along that line of thought, we've named her after Ghost Mountain, which is the name given by U.S. Army servicemen in 1942 to Mount Obree. So her registered name is Bright's Mount Obree MS, or just Obree for short. **Obree lives with my sister, Bailey.

Makalu, at 4 years old, is now spayed and ready to find a loving retirement home. She is great with other dogs, male and female. Maki has never been around cats, so its is unknown how she would interact with them. Maki is a rather cautious dog, so it takes her a little bit to warm up to new places, people and things. A patient and kind owner is a must. She has not been around kids, so a home with no kids or kids 10+ would be preferable. She is used to having a fenced yard to run around in, but is not a super high energy dog so leash walks would be fine too. She loves to cuddle and will sleep in bed with you, given the opportunity. She is 100% crate trained, very clean and quiet in her crate. We are asking $1,000 for this wonderful girl.

We really love what Kazbek is producing, as we have three of his daughters (all half sisters Massey, Callia and Koussi) we are growing out. This little girl is a spittin' image of her sire. We fell in love with Koussi's dam, Elodie, when she came to visit us to be bred to Kazbek. We just knew we had to get a puppy from her litter, and are thrilled to have a little Kazbek mini. Koussi is named after Emi Koussi, a volcano that is the highest point of the Sahara Desert.

Our lovely girl Koussi recently developed a uterine infection known as pyometra and had to be spayed. So after having just two litters, she is now ready for retirement.

Presto chango! May we present our magic color changing puppy, Callia! A red dapple carrying cream, she has done quite the color shift from her vibrant dapples as a newborn to the bright copper she is now. She's from our Sahara x Kazbek breeding and named after Kolyma upland, a mountain tract in Russia. She kept her 'Asmiov' themed litter name of Callia as well.

Callia is a longhair red dapple, 4 years 10 months old. She is a very happy and exuberant dog! She LOVES all people and other dogs. She is great meeting new people and loves to play with other dogs. Callia is crate trained, and very clean and quiet in her crate. She's food motivated, which makes her easy to train. Her appointment to get spayed is Nov 8th, vaccines are already up to date, and she has always been a very healthy dog.
The only negative thing about Callia is that she sometimes urinates when she is over stimulated. Its not something that happens on a day to day basis, but when we have visitors, she will do a little bit of excited urination when first greeting them. While Callia was not raised with children, she is great with them, loves to play, and we believe she would do just fine in a home with kids to interact with. She has not been around cats. We are asking $800 for Callia.
